The
International Federation of Inventors' Associations (IFIA), based in Geneva,
has announced the selection of the National Association for Science and
Research (NASR) - Lebanon as the focal point for the Middle East region.
Established in
1968, International Federation of Inventors’ Associations (IFIA) is a
non-profit organization the activities of which is approved to be public
utility by the Swiss Government. IFIA convenes over 135 member from 95
countries cooperating devotedly to support the inventors all around the world. The National Association
for Science and Research is an active member of IFIA.
IFIA Focal
Point Middle East (IFIA FPME) office is established in coordination with the
presidency of the Lebanese University (LU) which is hosting the office in Rafic Hariri University
Campus – Hadath.
The choice of
Lebanon as the focal point for IFIA in the Middle East constitutes an added
value to Lebanon and put it on the global map of Innovation and Creativity. In
addition, this new office will provide a great opportunity for the Middle East
inventors to tap into available expertise, resources and innovation, and to
share innovative knowledge.
